Gateway Greening School Garden/ Education AmeriCorps VISTA Member
The member will work with schools in one-time vermicomposting sessions and ongoing classes on garden-related topics; technical assistance workshops for educators and service providers. The member will also help to implement pilot gardening programs for specific sites in St. Louis City, School Greening Program, preparation of the School Beet newsletter, create curriculum for experiential education lessons, coordination of school garden visits and assist in garden installations, tracking and evaluation of student progress, maintenance of records and documentation of activities. AmeriCorps VISTA members receive a living stipend and are required to make a 1 year commitment to the VISTA project.
