Question by Peach Roses: How do I get internships at British Magazines and Newspapers?
I live in east mids, and would love to get some experience in journalism or media. I am planning to paply for internships at the newspapers and magazines, im so desperate to get out and see the world and experience it. Im just curious, whats the best way to qualify for an internship at these places, and how can i make myself stand out?

-look back at any experience you have and put anything helpful on your resume.
-if you’ve been to school/college/taken classes, let them know. you resume doesn’t just have to be professional experience but educational as well.
-just apply apply apply! for every “yes” you will get, there will be a million “no’s”
don’t get discouraged when you don’t get the first job you apply for. it will take a lot of effort to get an internship and do not expect it to be handed to you.
-be willing to do anything! if you act like you’re hot stuff and you know everything, you’ll never get the job.
-be willing [and eager] to take an unpaid internship. most internships aren’t paid, and sometimes those are easier to get than the paid b/c everybody wants the paid ones. lets face it, who doesn’t want experience and money? everyone!
