Does the Air Force or other branch of the military offer paid internships for pharmacy students?
Question by Nick C: Does the Air Force or other branch of the military offer paid internships for pharmacy students?
I am considering joining the Military as a pharmacist, I am in my second year of Pharmacy school, but would like to try an internship before committing to anything. I know the Air Force does JAG internships for law students, is there anything similar for pharmacy and can anyone point me toward who I need to contact. I have attempted to research myself with no results.

If I were you, I would go talk to an Army Reserve recruiter for this. The army right now blows the air force out of the water with education benefits and you can do you internship and get paid for it at the same time. Plus they will pay all your loans off up to 75,000. The air force cannot do that for you nor can they guarantee you a job of choice. The Army can and it will be in writing in your contract. The bonus for the med field is pretty high too in the army..about 20,000.

Actuall,y we can guarantee a pharmacist a pharmacist slot. . .Talk to an Air Force Officer Recruiter. If you can’t find one in your area, repost and I’ll hunt down the 1800 number for you.
