Q&A: Good full time jobs that work with full time college schedules and a baby?
Question by Cara: Good full time jobs that work with full time college schedules and a baby?
I’m looking for a job starting at the beginning of this summer that I can continue through next school year and maybe beyond that but I’m also still planning on going to college full time (or part time for the next few years seeing as I just found out I’m pregnant as well). Any suggestions for flexible, good paying jobs? Thank you!

You’d probably need a job where you can work nights; very few college classes are offered at night. And you’d need pretty much around the clock babysitting as well, which will be very expensive. You’re not likely to find a job that’s going to let you work nights, pay well enough to support college and a kid, and not get in the way of you doing well enough in your classes to get a job after you graduate.

Wow! This would have been much easier to answer a few years ago. Right now the job market is so tight that employers don’t really have to make extra accommodations for employees. I hope you find something.

Go for it! I would say get in as much pay checks as you can before you start school and give birth, then slow down the work pattern. Decent paying jobs, well use the experience/qualifications you have. But security jobs pay okay which you can do at night. Sales, or something in Fedex. Real estate pays pretty good. Just be persistent.
