Q&A: How do you manage two jobs and college?
Question by : How do you manage two jobs and college?
I currently work at Target as a cashier and my hours vary but they’re basically part time hours. My school schedule of course is permanent but I was offered another part time job at Hot Topic. How would I go about scheduling wise for both jobs? Would I coordinate hours after I get my Target hours each week? I don’t know what to do! Someone help please

you seem to know what to do
I think that if you want the job done and done right , give it to a busy person.
you are that busy person

I would figure out which one of those is a more “permanent” job. And which one is going to give you more hours.
Something to keep in mind, with the holidays coming up, hot topic may only be hiring you for the holidays.
So I would schedule my new job around Target. However it really depends on which one works with your school the best and gives you decent hours.
Having to schedule one around the other might PO your employers. I’d try to make sure that I could get my schedules well ahead of time to give my AM’s time to plan around the other.

I would give priority to the job that has the best hours and higher pay. That way you could drop the other one if they proved to be too much for you to handle.

Just take both jobs if you think you could handle it and just wing it! If it works out, that’s great, and if it doesn’t, well now you know. Yea, and like the other girl said, decided which one you want to always keep as a permanent job and have as your priority over the other one based on salary and hours. I’m sure it will all work itself out as you go along
