Q&A: What are some good High School Summer Internship Programs?
Question by : What are some good High School Summer Internship Programs?
I am a freshman in high school and I want to do something this summer other than just stay home. I’m looking for a good internship program that it’s not too late to apply for. I’m interested in music, animals, and nursing. Any ideas?

Wow, I’m in the same boat too! Since we’re both pretty young for jobs and stuff, sometimes it’s rough. Is there a vet clinic or hospital nearby?? They’d probably love some extra help – but you’ll probably end up doing grunt work type stuff, or checking people in, running papers to places for doctors, etc. But hey it’s still good experience, right? And it could so open some doors for you!! Check with your school or nearby elementary schools and see if they’re having a summer tutor type program for kids. You could help with science or music stuff!!!

You want to make sure that you find a good project where you will be doing valuable work. Many volunteer and internships are simply glorified holidays, where you can sit around on a Beach all day. Fun I know! but if you want to get good experience you want to make sure that you go with a good company. I know that GlobalNomadic.com have a Good range of volunteer and internships, and add commission to the price.
