Question by : How do I land the best PR internship in Los Angeles this summer?
I live in northern California but I’m looking for a summer internship in LA within the Public Relations sector of the entertainment industry. I have a 3.75 GPA and lots of extra curricular activities from school. What is the best way to land an EXCELLENT PR internship and where should I look? Who should I talk to? The more detailed the better. I have so much drive for this career that I’ll try anything within reason to get a great job!

read The Mailroom – it’s a tell-all about the William Morris agency. One of the biggest in Hollywood.

Your best bet is to prepare several excellent “Presentation packages” and start delivering them personally if possible. If you can’t do that then send each one in a very nice large envelope.
Follow Up:
Dress is smart business wear.
Visit each business to follow up or telephone each place to follow up on your “Presentation” and to request and interview.
Just make sure that your Presentation Package is exactly right and it represents what you can do; what you enjoy doing and what you hope to do while working in the summer.
