I just graduated university. Should I take an unpaid internship at an amazing magazine in NY or wait?
Question by p1neapplehed: I just graduated university. Should I take an unpaid internship at an amazing magazine in NY or wait?
This internship is 3 months and could turn into a job. They said 99% of the employees started this way. However, it is unpaid and in an expensive city… and I have a BS degree from a great school. Should I take it, or wait for a paying, possibly “blah” job. I am in a creative field so finding a job is not the easiest thing with only one prior internship under my belt.

if you think you will do well and have a chance of being hired then go for it! it sounds like you’d really enjoy it so you should. 3 more months of being broke won’t kill you.

Absolutely take it. Opportunities like this come once in a lifetime, and trust me, if you don’t you’ll regret it.
