I was thinking of doing genetic engineering but i didn’t choose chemistry. I also like researching.

Physics and biology – you teach.
Choose engineering – this field is in demand – any type of engineering.
You will never lack a job.
Top right now are bio-medical engineering (look up the details – I believe it has to do with genetics).
Chemical Engineering (which will land you just about any high level engineering job).
Salaries for these two start at 70K a year (only with a 4 year degree).
Google – top paying engineering 4 year degrees.
If you like math and science, the world will be yours – truly yours.

You choose the subject you are interested in. As a matter of fact every subject has an opening. You can always excel in the subject you are interested in and job opportunities are best for the toppers. In fact genetic engineering is a subject that is very much wanted now. A lot of types of genetically engineered or modified vaccines that are now being developed and found very useful now.
