Capital Sports Ventures (CSV), Arlington, VA-based boutique investment and advisory firm, is looking for self-motivated, detail-oriented individuals to join our 2017 Fall Internship Program to help support our day-to-day activities and preparation for DC Bike Ride 2017. Our firm is focused on sports and events related investments and advisory. Recent investments include: BigTeams, one of the fastest growing software systems for high school athletics programs and Schedule Star, one of the leading scheduling software providers for high school sports previously owned by USA Today. Recent advisory clients include: Red Bull North America, Events DC and the WNBA. Additionally, we own and operate DC Bike Ride(DCBR). The inaugural car-free 17-mile bike ride through DC/VA took place on May 22, 2016 with 7,000+ riders. DCBR brings the region together to celebrate our community and life on two wheels. Business Development Intern will suppose the VP of Business Development in engaging new and existing strategic partners to drive business value for CSV and DC Bike Ride (DCBR). The intern will be expected to suppose the creation and expansion of corporate relationships at local, regional and national levels for DCBR and new business for CSV; develop creative marketing solutions for various types of partners that meet and enhance their business objectives; and exhibit the high-touch professionalism that properly reflects the culture of CSV/DCBR. Interns will have ownership of their own projects and manage these projects from start to finish during the course of their internship. Interns will also have the opportunity to interact with and learn from entrepreneurs and sports industry leaders. Internship is full-time and unpaid. Additionally, intern(s) must receive academic credit. Timing for the Fall Internship Program is approximately August through December.
