The Wild Center seeks highly motivated and organized Naturalists to work in a year-long paid internship as front line staff interpreting the natural history of the Adirondack Park. Naturalists are trained in the field of interpretation and museum best practices and apply their skills and knowledge to directly support the mission ?To ignite an enduring passion for the Adirondacks where people and nature can thrive together and set an example for the world.? This position offers collaborative and independent experiences in both formal and informal interpretation, school and group interactions, event management, outdoor programs including naturalist walks, canoe and paddle boarding trips, knowledge in natural history, and animal handling experiences. Wide breadths of place-based opportunities are available and change seasonally to provide professional growth and in-depth knowledge in museum based education.
