Art Advisory Internship Overview: A private NY art advisory and appraisal firm specializing in 20th century, contemporary and emerging art and design is currently accepting applications for 2017 Summer Internships. Interns will provide support in advisory, appraisal, and art market projects, as well as assist in the firm"s communications and social media initiatives. This internship offers hands-on experience in contemporary art world practices and art advisory including art market analysis, value determinations, collection management and cataloging, research methodologies and object analysis. The internship is 10-12 weeks, with a minimum commitment of 36 hours (4 days) per week in our downtown Manhattan office beginning June through August 2017. Start/end dates and work hours are slightly flexible for qualified candidates. This internship comes with a summer stipend. School credit is available and may be designed to meet specific university requirements if requested at the outset of the internship. Responsibilities include: • Art market research • Art database management • Client luxury acquisition proposals • Collection management and cataloging • Preparing presentation and marketing materials for client proposals • Social media management • Specialty assignments including art expert research, art historical and provenance research • Administrative assistance
