The Wild Center seeks four Fellows to participate in a year round professional development program led by our dynamic education staff at a world class museum in the heart of the Adirondack Park. Fellows are trained in the field of interpretation and museum best practices in a yearlong education, training, and development program. The responsibilities entail learning the art and science of presenting public programs, developing content and strong practical application to a variety of audiences and settings including; natural history interpretation, experiential education, school program integration. Fellows will also be immersed in daily museum operations, nonprofit management fundamentals and apply knowledge in practical on site applications. This position offers collaborative and independent experiences in museum best practices, school and group management, event coordination, outdoor programs training and leadership including content knowledge in natural history, and animal handling experiences. Wide breadths of place-based opportunities are available and change seasonally to provide professional growth and in-depth knowledge in museum based education.
