womenwinning is seeking candidates for the Political Leaders of Tomorrow Internship Training Program. The program trains the next generation of political leaders in Minnesota. womenwinning staff teach participants how to navigate campaigns and the tools to be successful on any campaign. Staff then helps interns find a candidate to intern with for hands-on, real-life experience. After completing this training, participants will be a great asset to a candidate"s team and have built the foundations of a strong network. This is the first step to starting a fulfilling career in politics! Program details: Interns hired into the program will receive an in-depth training hosted by womenwinning covering a wide range of topics from the Minnesota political landscape to how to run a successful campaign operation at any level of office. There are two additional skills trainings and personalized support throughout the rest of your internship. Political Leaders of Tomorrow (PLOT) participants will complete 10-12 hours per week on a campaign learning hands-on experience. womenwinning staff will provide guidance on candidates and issue campaigns across the state and make strong connections with campaigns looking for assistance, but will not directly place participants on a campaign. Requirements: Commitment to the womenwinning mission – getting pro-choice women elected Interest in the political process Interest in gaining campaign experience Willingness to work hard Ability to attend the intensive training (June 15, 2018) and the skills events (half-days on July 12th & August 16th 2018) Ability to work 10-12 hours per week on a candidate campaign Willingness to actively engage with womenwinning for the duration of internship (June-August) If interested, please fill out the online application form.
