Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: • Participation in planning internal and external communication strategies. • Developing and producing key communication materials including press releases, feature stories, social media content and talking points for speeches. • Developing story-lines and pitches to the media. • Preparing spokespeople for proactive media relations. • Opportunity to participate in and help organize special events. • Assist the Marketing Director with everyday tasks. (i.e. reviewing charitable giving/donations, social media, etc.) • Photography and graphic design skills are preferred • Assist with the development of creative concepts and marketing strategies. Additional Information: • Paid internship. Will reimburse mileage for firm related business. • Includes some evening and weekend work. • Intern will work a minimum of 20 hours per week. Intern may select preferred work days (Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.) with the understanding the schedule must receive prior approval from the firm. • No benefits. • Credit hours available if approved by accredited college or university. 1. Marketing and Public Relations Director will guide, oversee and assist intern with all activities. 2. Intern will be under direct supervision of the Marketing and Public Relations Director. 3. Intern will be provided with opportunities to receive real-world experience in a safe, positive and instructional environment. 4. Intern will have 100% access to the Marketing and Public Relations Director at all times. 5. Intern will be provided invaluable learning experiences under the supervision of a communications professional with communications experience. 6. The Marketing and Public Relations Director will actively participate, monitor, direct, oversee and have final review of and authority over any and all of intern"s activities. 7. Richard Schwartz & Associates provides that the training derives no immediate advantage from the activities of the intern. 8. Richard Schwartz & Associates recognizes, maintains and understands that the intern is not entitled to a job at the firm at the conclusion of the internship. 9. Richard Schwartz & Associates recognizes, maintains and understands that the intern is not entitled to wages or any sort of entitlements for time spent in the internship.
