Question by roses: What college is best for going into physical therapy?
I’m thinking about going into physical therapy and i was just wondering what college has a good PT program and why? i already have a few in mind but i’m just wondering about other people’s thoughts. I live in the midwest and probably won’t be traveling outside of the midwest unfortuantely. ummm..as far as colleges go i don’t mind if its public or private or the size of the school or the city it is in. As long as the college isn’t in St. Louis.

Purdue has a great PT program and it is in the midwest.

For reasons irrelevant, I haven’t visited a single college yet, and I’m a senior who is seriously behind in applying – I haven’t applied to a single school yet. I’m getting there. What do you think is the percentage of college undergrads who visit the college they end up in? If you actually find a statistic please please post the link here.

I do not know any statistics but I can tell you that visiting colleges, if possible, is realllyyyyy recommended!!!

I would say that people who do not visit their intended colleges beforehand are the ones that end up transferring. It is important to visit to make sure that college is a good fit for you, has the resources you need to be successful and have the program that you want. You REALLY need to research your intended program area for that college to make sure it is what you want.

I did not do that and I regret it. I chose my school because of nostalgia. My school is a big, well known, Big 10 school so I assumed that automatically meant that all their programs were amazing. I was wrong. Though my schools is very good school, the particular program I am in, is not one of their better programs. If I had known that, I would have chosen a different school.
I know a lot of people who have transferred because they did not do the research on the school beforehand.

So if possible, try to visit the colleges you are planning on applying to.

Hi,

I’d like to find a 1 year long paid internship or traineeship in the laboratory of an hospital. I’m not a student anymore. I graduated recently.

I’d like to know if hospitals can hire interns or trainees that aren’t in a program or college.
Are there restrictions? Do they need to do a lot of paperwork to hire an intern or trainee?

They are all looking for trainees. Just put in your application at any you come across. They will call you when they need you.

Question by XM: do I need a copy of my college Diploma when applying for jobs?
HI, I would like to know weather a copy of our college degree diploma is needed or required when applying to jobs.

I just graduated from college and don’t know if this is necessary. Or do they just have some kind of database where they can check this (degree completion)?

Is it a good idea, to have a copy in hand? and what else do you recommend having when applying for jobs. A transcript of all courses? Is it necessary? since my doesn’t look very good in the last 2 semesters I really don’t want to show it.

Depends on the job- I graduated 7 years ago and still dont have a diploma, due to a POS school and alledged money owed.
