Our plant is located in Richmond, California USA, and we ship nationwide to retailers, wholesale distributors and drop ship to catalog customer. About the opportunity Galaxy Desserts is seeking a student in food science (bachelor or master degree diploma) to work with the Research & Development Dept. The trainee will be working closely with the Founder and Assistant R&D Chef to develop new product recipes and assure proper production implementation. Internship subject 1/ Research sources for ingredients, packaging innovations and product samples. 2/ Test run recipes, keeping detailed & accurate records. 3/ Assists in preparing product samples for presentation to potential customers. 4/ Train with R&D Asst. and QC Manager on process to update, organize and maintain documentation of finished product specifications (nutritionals, allergen statement, shelf life, packaging) and quality manual in accordance with corporate guidelines. 5/ Prep for new product test tastings.

After training, the intern must be able to clearly and professionally articulate the programs of the Hudson TMA to prospective clients in a positive manner both on the phone and in person. The position requires significant time to be spent in the field approaching perspective clients. Clients are typically Human Resource Administrators at offices within Hudson County. The intern will also enter information regarding our clients on our computer data base. The intern will schedule meetings, participate in presentations in a group setting, and comfortably approach individuals we serve to further explain programs in detail in a personable and outgoing manner.

General Admin Support – Answer phones, make copies etc. 2. Distribution/Marketing Internet Support – Networking YouTube, MySpace, FaceBook etc. to increase web presence. 3. Selection Committee Support – or – Director Circle Support – Help to recruit and create email lists for Selection Committee Members or Research Directors/Producers that might be interested in helping our organization. EDUCATIONAL MARKETING AND DISTRIBUTION MANAGER (ERNESTINE HELDRING): 1. General Admin Support: putting together film orders, updating Metrix database, proof-reading marketing materials 2. Research: help stay on top of conference presentation possibilities, hot topics relevant to the marketing of our films, possible distribution avenues 3. Website: creating of up-to-date, teen-centric health awareness content on a regular basis 4. Outreach: calls and emails to possible film buyers, e.g. cold-calling Planned Parenthood Directors of Educational Programs

The Public Policy and Advocacy (PPA) Intern will assist the Associate for Immigration and Refugee Policy by conducting research regarding refugee situations, asylum processes, country conditions, immigration entries, detention facilities, etc. S/he will analyze legislation to prepare policy briefs for legislative staff, affiliates, denominations, and coalition partners. The PPA Intern will also plan events, attend strategy sessions, help craft advocacy messages, participate in Congressional meetings, and draft minutes, fact sheets, letters, action alerts, research briefs, and media advisories. S/he will also be involved in the development and operations of grassroots capacity building and will direct two other interns to assist in these efforts. The PPA Intern will be required to maintain a portfolio and design a final project.
