Well if at this internship you have no earned income, it doesn’t really have to be “claimed”. If you have records of your employment this is just really something to be put on your resume.

Question by runofthemill: Advertising internships after college in New York City?
Does anyone know of any advertising agencies that take interns that have already graduated from school? I really want to get into advertising and I know that its the best, and almost the only way into the industry. I just moved to New York City and am enthusiastic about this. I’ve already gone out and asked several companies but I want to see if anybody knows of any places that definitely have internship programs for college grads.

I see ads every day seeking marketing or advertising “interns” on Craigslist ( http://newyork.craigslist.org/mar/ ).

Be aware that many (perhaps most) of these opportunities are just looking for free or low-wage employees, and may not provide useful work experience or references. Sometimes, the “agency” turns out to be one guy working from home.

I’m planning on going to London for a few months and I’d love to make an internship since I’d like to be a photographer. I’m looking for a photographer who does fashion and more portrait photography. How can I get such an internship? What do I need? What qualifications do I need?
half a year to see if this really is what i want. If it is then I’ll just move to London I guess.

don’t tell them you’ll ONLY be there for few months. They don’t want to “train” an intern and then have to start over, ever few months.

Yeah, it may sound crazy, but the photographers are pros, but cheap. They want a free labor for a LONG TIME !!

What is the best kind of summer internship that Med School Admissions love to see? (i.e. philanthropy, medical research, etc…) And please be specific, if you say research then please specify what kind.

There isn’t one unique internship that makes adcoms giggle like school girls over, each adcom has different priorities. They like to see things that you are passionate about and things that you can demonstrate a benefit from (gave you some insight, etc). Research is great, but the topic is your personal preference, it doesn’t even need to be medicinal if you don’t want it to be (unless you are applying MD/PhD). The also like to see that you started a program, or somehow expanded it. They like unique applications of your talents and interests. For example, lets say you like to play an instrument. Going to a hospital to play on a weekly basis is a great EC.
