Four positions available: Account Service, Art Director/Designer, Copywriter, Interactive Get ready to be thrown into the fire. As a Bozell intern, you wont get the creative director coffee, you wont pick up the account directors dry cleaning, and you wont shine the presidents shoes. You wont have time. Youll be too busy working on actual projects for actual clients. Youll be building your resume and portfolio. Youll be buliding your fledgling career. The internship starts May 18 and ends August 7. Youll earn $8.50 an hour and work full-time from 8:30 to 5:00 Monday through Friday. Expect some weekend work, too. This is advertising. Water Research Internship

Food & Water Watch is a leading consumer advocacy organization that runs dynamic, cutting edge campaigns that challenge the corporate control and abuse of our food and water resources, empower people to take action and transform the public consciousness about what we eat and drink. Since 2005, we have won significant victories to protect our food and water. Our work has been featured in the New York Times, the Washington Post and other major media outlets. For more information check out our website at www.foodandwaterwatch.org. We are currently seeking interns to work in our Washington, DC office. Interns will have the benefit of learning critical research, analysis and reporting skills from experienced staff. Internships are available in our collegial office environment during any of the following terms. Spring, Fall: This position may be full- or part-time (~15 hours per week minimum). Spring dates are January-May. Fall term dates are September – December. Summer: This position is full-time and runs for 10 weeks during May-August. Small stipends may be available for summer interns. The water research intern assists the water research team with providing information, analysis and written materials to support Food & Water Watch Clean Public Water campaigns. Responsibilities may include * Research both corporations and government (federal, state, and local) to help our team craft reports, briefing papers, and articles for the general public, media, NGOs, elected officials and government agencies * Assist researchers with data collection, synthesis, and analysis * Write short printed materials on water issues * Research emerging issues to move campaigns forward * Maintain strong records of work and assist with database development * Hold regular office hours and participate in weekly meetings with Research team

Research Intern – International Program

Internships are available in our collegial office environment during any of the following terms. Spring, Fall: This position may be full- or part-time (~15 hours per week minimum). The international intern will work directly with members of the international team to provide information, analysis and written materials to support Food & Water Watch campaigns. Responsibilities may include: * Research both corporations and government to help our team craft reports, briefing papers, and articles for the general public, media, NGOs, elected officials and government agencies. * Assist researchers with data collection, synthesis, and analysis. * Research emerging issues to move campaigns forward. * Learn and use activist software program to send action alerts to our membership.

The advocacy and research – food program intern will work directly with the food team to challenge factory farms and other industrialized agriculture, and promote local, sustainable food systems. Additionally, the intern will work closely with the grassroots organizing team on our 2009 Child Nutrition Reauthorization campaign. Responsibilities may include ∗ Assist in campaign organizing including, national and local outreach to activists and volunteers, coalition building, media work, and legislative strategy. ∗ Building strategic coalitions with religious groups, labor groups, elected officials, citizen activists, businesses and students ∗ Researching emerging issues to help our team craft reports, briefing papers, and articles for the general public, media, NGOs, elected officials and government agencies ∗ Coordinating campaign events to engage citizens and pressure targets ∗ Assisting in media outreach to educate millions of people ∗ Producing printed and online materials such as action alerts, newsletters, and activist guides ∗ Assisting researchers with data collection, synthesis, and analysis ∗ Maintain strong records of work and assist with database development ∗ Hold regular office hours and participate in weekly meetings with Food team

Our Fish Program challenges the privatization of our ocean resources, educates the public to promote sustainable seafood consumption, and fights for the interests of small fishermen and coastal communities which deliver consumers safe and healthy seafood. The fish program is currently accepting applications for an advocacy and research internship. Projects may include • Coordinating campaign events to engage citizens and pressure targets • Assisting in media outreach to educate millions of people • Producing printed and online materials such as action alerts, newsletters, and activist guides • Researching emerging issues to move campaigns forward • Signing new allies onto campaign, such as religious groups, labor groups, elected officials, citizen activists, businesses and students Responsibilities • Develop and maintain a semester plan with Campaign Organizer • Bottom-line at least one element of the campaign • Participate in mid- and end of semester evaluations • Maintain strong records of work and assist with database development • Hold regular office hours and participate in weekly meetings with Campaign staff
