My school doesn’t offer internships. So how can I go about getting one anyway?
Well, I attend online and I planning to go on campus next semester just for that reason. They don’t offer internships to online students.

It really, really depends on the field in which you want to do an internship. Try your college’s career center to see if they have internship information, or ask your academic advisers.

I’m currently attending college full time. I only go to school on MWF. I work at Forever 21 and make 7.50 an hour but they don’t schedule me near enough. What’s some other jobs I should look at? I don’t want to make less money. Also, I really don’t want to work in food. I’m 19 years old.. female.. thanks!

ABOUT KEXP INTERNSHIPS KEXP offers internships in all areas of radio broadcasting. Interns will gain real world experience in a broad array of fields including non-profit fundraising, marketing, sales, web design, sound engineering, and music programming. KEXP interns will learn skills in business communication, project management, problem solving, audio technology, database management and more. These skills and experiences offer our interns a unique ground-level glimpse of the day-to-day life of a community radio station, while offering relationship building and networking opportunities that will aid in securing future employment in the music industry HOW TO APPLY: Interns are hired on a quarterly basis (Jan, March, June and Sept). We also look for people with a vast and deep knowledge of local, national and international artists. Film + Digital Media Archiving Internship

Film+Digital Media Archiving Internship We are searching for exceptionally motivated individuals to assist in day-to-day operations including researching footage requests, film and digital image archiving, film and video logging, off-line time code editing, database entry and other technical and organizational duties. This is not a production position. This position is unpaid. College credit is possible. What You Will Learn • Digitizing, archiving and making accessible archival materials • Cleaning, repairing and archiving 16mm and 35mm film elements. • How to maintain digital databases • Principles of time code • Logging and metadata procedures • How to work with digital files • Off-line editing • Researching our analog and digital archive Building Your Future Past interns have received scholarships to New York University’s Moving Image Preservation Program, furthered their studies at the L Jeffrey Selznick School of Film Preservation at the George Eastman House, received grants from the Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA) and now have positions at Oddball Films+Video, the Motion Picture Academy of Arts and Sciences, Lucasfilm, Witness, Canyon Cinema, the Stanford Archives of Recorded Sound, Current TV and the National Archives.

TAC Intern

• Work one-on-one with clients to help them with their job search and computer skill building (ie. help with resume formatting, online job applications, copy & paste, proofreading, etc). • Work with TAC/Client Services Coordinator to track client progress in the TAC by conducting pre and post-testing to assess skill gains & monitoring clients’ progress with their job search portfolios. • Work with the TAC/Client Services Coordinator to make TAC resources more user-friendly through creating cheatsheets for clients, maintaining relevant referral resources, and working on other projects as assigned. • Maintain an effective working and learning environment for clients by ensuring that TAC resources are clean, reliable, & relevant to clients, helping resolve client issues as they arise, trouble shooting basic technical problems, etc. • Coordinate TAC Volunteer schedules to make sure assistance is always available to clients and that mock interviews are available weekly. • Ensure accurate collection and entry of program data into our database (Salesforce). • Eat lots of candy.
