Paid Internships

The National News Intern will work directly with GLAAD’s Director of National News and is primarily responsible for: supporting GLAAD’s National News program through researching and documenting trends and developments in the news industry; providing administrative support to the National News team through fielding telephone calls/requests, maintaining databases, organizing materials, and other tasks as assigned; and providing research support on deadline for breaking stories (news contacts, past stories, transcripts, video clips). The intern will also collaborate with the entire National News Team on numerous other media activities including brainstorming strategic story pitches and placements.

This is an internship for someone who is interested in hands on experience in the world of software. We are looking for a computer science or computer engineering student who has an interest in software and software testing. Specifically, in this position, the intern will spend a majority of their time helping to test and validate software and identify bugs in newly developed areas of our current products. Additionally there will be opportunities to learn the ins and outs of working in a software development environment. Innovatum will give an intern hands on experience to prepare for a job in the software industry. The internship requires 20-30 hours a week with the flexibility to work any time between 8am and 6pm. Work will be done on site at the Innovatum office located in Sugar Hill, GA. The internship pays – an hour. A successful internship may lead to permanent employment with Innovatum. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: • Learn Innovatum software products • Work with other company employees to learn the software testing process • Execute software validation scripts • Document any deviations and work with engineers to identify problems • Perform testing on newly developed software functionality As a small, privately-held company, Innovatum offers a relaxed, yet driven work environment for the self-motivated intern to thrive. Kaplan Interns will help the Marketing Manager in various ways throughout the Semester. Interns will preform grassroots marketing efforts, in order to increase Kaplans mvivibility and brand awareness in the campus community.
