Information technology, particularly the Internet, has made a huge contribution to raising awareness and ending the isolation of PH patients. PH’s website, http://www.PHAssociation.org, is the place worldwide for the PH community to find information about PH medical and insurance resources, including finding a PH specialist. It is also the portal for the PH community to communicate with each other and get involved in the fight for a cure. As part of the PHA team, PHA interns provide critical support that enables us to continue to provide vital services to the PH community. PHA internships offer students a structured experience working with PHA staff on substantive projects. Interns will: gain valuable experience with writing for the web, website redesign, online communities, and maintaining a health-related association website with basic HTML, Adobe Dreamweaver and Adobe Fireworks (or Photoshop); assist in updating PHA’s website; assist in editing content for the website; help facilitate our website redesign process; communicate with and empower the online PH community; provide computer tech support to staff; receive a small stipend and free parking; work 25-40 hours/week (schedule is flexible). You will be treated as a respected team member. Our office is a friendly and welcoming environment.
