The Executive Office Internship at Washington National Opera offers an excellent opportunity to gain insight into the overall operations of a world-class opera company and nonprofit organization. Primary responsibilities will include providing assistance to WNO’s Executive Director and Executive Offices in all areas, including development activities (utilizing Tessitura fundraising database), strategic initiatives, operations coordination, and the Plácido Domingo Intern/Apprentice Program. This intern will also have the opportunity to participate in coordinating meetings and functions involving WNO’s Board of Trustees, Chairman, President, and Executive Committee.

We are also accepting Intern/Apprentice applications for fall 2008 and spring 2009 in Artistic Administration, Development/Special Events, Education, Finance, Marketing & Audience Services, Production, and Public Relations. Apprenticeships are available in Costumes, Lighting, Stage Management and Technical. Apprenticeships require direct experience in the area and candidates should have obtained or be pursuing a degree in the prospective fields.
